One of his best music ever heard. I took the shown pictures during various trips in Hungary and Transsylvania.

If only I'd heard this track before... This piece entails all the workmanship and passion why I love Mike's music over all other music, in this day and age. I've also gone for quite a few of different styles of music, but the pure and simple (such as Windham Hill, Virgin - Japan, Sylvian etc.) still remains at the top of my list. I forgot to mention Flairck, and in particular, Erik Visser, a most wonderful guitar player and writer who also worked with Mary Coughlan, amongst others.

The Path & Woodhenge were both recorded in 1976 for the Arts film "Reflections". "Woodhenge" was released as a B side to the single "Blue Peter" and was on the album "Platinum" both 1979. "The Path" as a B side to the single "Shine" in 1986.

This is one of my favorite Mike Oldfiend tunes. I've been in the Hungarian countryside (Hejce) and this does something for me too. Also reminds me of Opeth - melodic metal have a lot to answer for! :D

This song sounds like it's from Hergest Ridge. I really like this song. I too can't understand why it was released 8 years later because this is a fantastic song. Thanks for sharing this music and lovely video with us!

Wonderful relation between the photographs and the music. That is not random and really has taste. Congratulations.
