It seems trite to say but I cannot express how meaningful I find this album. Being 41, Ultravox was a powerful presence when I first began to find "my own" music. Rage in Eden was the first album I heard which made see that music could be part of a greater "whole"; words and music combined in a meaningful way. However, Brilliant has become for me an anthem for not giving up. Seeing Mr Ure in concert in Melbourne came at the right time for me. For this I want to say thank you.

I hope this album is not another "Celtic Fisherman" musak album. It must contain the cutting edge electronics that we heard back in 1980, not these folksy stupid sentimental songs. So more Mr. X and less " we are working hard getting fish in Scotland" style music.
