labrie nowadays seems like a monkey that just needs some bananas on stage to take a break... i remember him, last time i saw DT live here in milan 2014... and now luppi, 41 years old, is still singing as he always did since the first time i met him in 2001...

Simple Strangers

Il confronto con Labrie è inevitabile, ma qui si deve guardare oltre. La bravura di Labrie è indiscussa e, che piaccia o meno, la sua voce ha caratterizzato i Dream Theater e in particolare gli album migliori (come Images and Words); qui però si deve rendere merito a Michele per la sua bravura e per il suo "rendere omaggio" a uno dei cantanti che l'ha (sicuramente) ispirato. Non esiste che la cover superi l'originale (l'originale è pur sempre l'originale), semmai ne aumenta il valore. In sostanza.... bravo Luppi!!!A tutti i "maestri di musica" che hanno qui commentato (dicendo anche grandi baggianate!): non si può valutare la bravura di un cantante unicamente dalla sua estensione vocale!

Michele Luppi è un bravissimo cantante. Ottima tecnica e timbrica gradevolissima. Mi chiedo solo: perchè tutti fanno "a gara" a chi si strappa meglio le palle fino a raggiungere tonalità altissime con la voce? Barry White ha fatto la storia restando sui toni bassi...

LEGGO COMMENTI CHE MI FANNO RIDERE, COME SI FA A DIRE CHE LUPPI NON PUO MAI SUPERARE LA BRIE??mi sa che qualcuno deve farsi una visita dall otorino; ma scoltate bene James la brie dal vivo, e poi ve ne accorgete se ha tutte ste note alte con la voce e se li fa perfette come sentite negl album; la brie live non si puo ascoltare perche va fuori con la voce ; cosa che Luppi dal vivo la voce ce la uguale e perfetta come lo si sente negl album forse anche migliore; non fate paragoni del cazzo perche non vedo tutta sta bravura di la brie a confronto con Luppi

labrie non ha la stessa voce di luppi...e tecnicamente non è paragonabile a luppi...questa versione non è migliore dell'orginale indubbiamente ma luppi è superiore a labrie

Eu achei que era somente eu a pensar nisso. Lione é bom, sem dúvidas, mas o Luppi tem mais a ver com o Angra. Seu timbre, alcance, e interpretações são perfeitos. Atende bem o posto que o Angra está procurando.
