Originally moved to CLE (area) in 2008, to CLE proper in 2011 - left in 2012 not by choice. Every day I spent away I thought about one place or another that I missed and finally in 2014, back I was in the CLE. I was (as John Cougar might say) born in a small town, but when people ask where I'm from, I smile like a kid at Christmas and say, "Cleveland!"

A college friend in from Cleveland turned me on to MSB and WMMS. I learned a helluva a lot in the two years ('78-'80) I lived in Columbus. One was how great of a town Columbus is and how gorgeous Ohio is. This Pittsburgh boy sank his teeth into Ohio's Best Rock - QFM-96 while there and jammed to MSB's live 'Stagepass' album ALL the time. Good times and great memories... going to school, making new friends, meeting some great people and experiencing those 'bookmark' moments. Got to see MSB play in 1979 and soaked that up big time. Seriously some of the best rock there will ever be.

Is this the original video for 'my town'? If so this is about is good this is as good a video, in terms of both telling a story and including performance bits, from the band from this era as I've ever seen.

Cory I wouldn't say it's really "stealing a sound" more like buying into one. The Cleveland music sound was always very similar with the east coast at the time. WMMS in Cleveland was a huge Bruce supporter early in his career, tons of history there. Bet you didn't know Clarence played sax on MSB's "Lover" did you? So I guess they stole his sax player too? Rock N Roll!

I never heard this rousing, spirited anthem nearly enough when it came out 3 decades ago. Amazing song!

Nice tune , but the space where they left the lyrics out for local radio stations to get a " personalized " version is glaringly obvious !

14 people only know the Little Texas version (which is far inferior).

If you're going to steal someone's sound, you might as well steal from The Boss.

"Little Texas" does a great version of this tune, too!
