I watched him perform this on American Bandstand. If I remember right, his band (First National Band) was supposed to be there but for some reason couldn't make it. If anyone doubted that Mike was a very fine musician, this should have put those doubts to rest. I remember that I was very impressed with this performance. Most musicians that appeared on American Bandstand lip synced to canned music of their hits, Mike did this live.
