Really, The only reason that this album was poorly received was simply because it was a Metallica album. I can assure you if this had been a sludge metal album or something from some band that was just up and coming, this would have been fucking amazing.Also, people like to ride eachothers dicks so they can feel "true" to music. Yall niggas can eat a dick. Listen to what you want.

I agree, this is probably on of the most hated album, but i don't fucking get it!? It's fuckin raw, it's heavy, it has awesome guitar riffs. I don't get it. I am a thrasher and like mostly every genre of metal. Well not glam.

i agree with this.. maybe not that much with st. anger because it has some things that are just bad.. but load and reload are both pretty good metal albums.. they only get that much hate because it's metallica and they compare it with the old stuff

I think if you took the name of metallica out of the album and you listened you would like it but when you know it's metallica omfg it's bullshit they should go to the origins ans everything else is shit! At least is to me what manny people think and i'm happy i can apreciate an album like this for what it is! :)

all good, it's just like i said, for me its the best album personally. I read the therapy comment of yours and that probably brings it to the point. If you are a metallica scholar or metal historian, it might not shine as much as others. Keeps me from going to galveston though, if you know what i mean.I guess if someone needs an album for that, that about says it all. I don't care so much for snares or solos, i just need my medication, and that's, every now and then, a dose of st. anger. Peace!

I agree. I don't count it as an album as much as I count it as therapy:) I just feel sorry that the great riffs in these songs aren't used to their potential.

I think this album was just a way for them to vent out their frustrations but I understand what you mean, I like this album myself but it's not Metallica at their best.

I'm extremely happy for you if that is really the case:) i think it's the second worst metallica album countin lulu:D would have been way better with propper snare and with solos:D Saying that, I actually like the album as such, it's just not Metallica great if you know what I mean:)
