To me this seems to be written from the view of kids and youth who are trying to make a difference, but everyone looks down on them because they are young. Lyrically it's meh... But at least they went hard in this song. Unconditional was my least favorite album by far, this song feels like it came from The Hollow, which was my favorite. Again, lyrically not the best, but A+ for going hardcore.8 years ago

Musically the song is cool. Same old crappy breakdown in the verse, which i guess is typical for these kinds of bands, but the chorus is really good. Cheesey lyrics though. I've never been a fan of Matty or the band in general, but i cant help but chuckle at some of those lyrics. Our youth must be so oppressed.. (sarcasm). The actual vocal melodies like in the chorus are pretty catchy though.8 years ago

I dont know why everyone is so crucial on this song and everything MMF has put out since Challenger. Its just them growing as musicians and wanting to take a slightly different path then like The Hollow or Sleepwalking. I personally love EVERY SINGLE song they have ever put our since Matty has become the frontman because of his unique voice. Its different and he can still back up his recorded vocals in a live performance and that is RARE. Memphis May Fire is still getting more and more popular and will continue to do so as long as they stay on this path. Its a great path to be on and i will continue to support them no matter what. i think you all should too :)8 years ago
