Nobody sings like that anymore. Let's be real here people. American Idol is a popularity contest. In this day and time if you don't play a guitar and sing like a Taylor Swift then you won't get the votes. Look at the track record of winner from season 7-11. White boy with guitar. R&B, soul, and classical music has no place in a competition where America has to vote. The odds were stacked against Melinda no matter how talent she was and let's be real, she was by far the most talented singer this season along with Lakiesha.
