This is one of my two most memorable Melanie concerts I attended as a High School teen. It rained that night. My favorite concert was a back to back performance somewhere upstate. We took a train from Brooklyn and when we got off we had to walk miles (or so it seemed) in heavy snow to get to the concerts. It was worth it all as we got backstage and met Melanie and I got my first kiss! She was an amazing performer. The original unplugged artist.

No one on this planet or other planets could touch the High Priestess, Melanie. And i mean no one. Her compositions to mankind, her vocals, her smiles her grin no one could touch her. Enjoy cheers Chris

LOVE TO LOSE AGAINWritten by Melanie SafkaSome folks take their pleasure slow, others like it fastAnd some folks lose their futures by living in the pastIf you win by taking you might lose your chance to winAnd if you lose of heartache you are bound to love againEvery single daytime loses out to nightAnd every bit of darkness well it uses up the lightYou were my religion even though you're just a manAnd man will go on lovin' so we're bound to lose again, lose againMy cat is meditating and my dog is scratching fleasAnd me I think too much, most people think too much to seeWe think too much of loving and we lose more than we winAnd woman dies of giving but she's bound to live againWe think too much of loving to love all that we canAnd woman dies of giving but she's bound to live again

"Not bad," she says. (grins) but not as good as Brave Strangers, right?
