I'm the webmaster of the official Mekong Delta Thrash Pages (mekongdelta.eu). This a videorecording of the song 'Sphere Eclipse' by the progressive metal project Mekong Delta. This song was recorded live with 2 cameras, but the sound quality was poor. Bassplayer/Songwriter Ralf Hubert has taken the material and placed the CD version of the song into the video. the end result is great!

You probably haven't heard Voivod's later recordings...thrash is thrash. There are enough bands with raw vocals that include high-pitched shrieks in their music (Onslaught, Vektor, Artillery even Slayer at some point). Doesn't make it anywhere near power metal, dude. I disagree. Vocally, thrash metal can employ anything from melodic singing, to high-pitched or shouted vocals. Guess you never heard Forbidden, Paradox, Watchtower or even Anthrax.10 years ago

Mekong Delta is one of THE most under appreciated bands of all time, IMO. The 2012 re-recording of this song is brilliant, as is the entire "Intersections" album. But, nothing beats the original versions.10 years ago
