Doreen Chanter kicks ass.  Have you ever heard her sing with Roxy Music or Stomu Yamashta's album Go Too?  You would probably change your mind regarding her vocals.  If you are so great you try singing with a band.

Judging by this, I'd have to disagree.

you can kill it and then again you can slaughter it.....this is the latter....worst version of this song I've ever heard....Appreciate this from a historical viewpoint....nothing else....

It's when I hear this that I fully appreciate Patti Russo, who is a real female lead vocalist. Katie Mac did a couple of tours with Meatloaf and wasn't very good in my opinion. Doreen Chanter was just plain awful. I never quite understood why he used to have such lousy backing singers. Then the Goffs came along and though neither was really a lead, they provided decent backing and looked great. Then on to Patti and Aspen Miller, who I thought did the job well, in addition to looking cute.

@Rockinghorserider1 Watch the Rockpalast 1978 Meat Loaf performance on "Meat Loaf Bat out of Hell, the Original Tour" DVD. Try to get the non-USA version because it includes a terrific duet of Karla and Meat singing "River Deep, Mountain High" which flows into a reprise of "Johnny B. Goode" featuring Karla. The Old Grey Whistle Test performance by Karla is spectacular. Karla has a YouTube channel.

@kutzbill It's not you. She's horrible. If I spent $500+ to sit in the first row and heard that voice come out I'd be pretty pissed off.
