I agree with your comment, but not everyone has the option to listen to different stations (in their car or at work for example). I live on northern Vancouver Island and have access to 3 stations that all play pretty lame music (pop and top 40 rock), which is why I listen to the Zone out of Victoria or Sonic out of Edmonton, but I can only do it online so it's not always an option.
