Great stuff. Had the pleasure to sit next to Matt on a flight to SFO about 2 years ago when he was going to see his wife graduate. I asked if he was the main event, and he just laughed, as said he was just going as a husband. Like most everything I've heard from Matt. A real unrecognized gem.

it was originally released in the pre brushfire records version of the album "songs we sing" before that it was released in a music compilation before matt was signed to a major label. the song was dropped from the tracklisting to songs we sing when he joined brushfire because it didnt fit the rest of the album. i think the japanese or brazilian itunes version of songs we sing included "desires only fling". i cant remember which.
