I actually have always liked Pete's drum style... for what it's worth.Guitar and songwriting... not so much.

Recorded for Who s' Next, it was left out and sadly the original multitracks damaged beyond repair. It is one of Pete s' best. The Who should record it or play it live for its inclusion in a long time deserved Who s' Next box set -

Damn. Huge Pete fan, never heard it until now. Sick chord progression, nice sentiment, good rhythm; had the Who done this on Who's Next, this would have been one of THE great power ballads of the 70's.

Man, if The Who had performed this back in 1971, it could have been magical. Although I suspect that the audience would have not gotten it and grown bored. But to a hardcore fan it would have probably been the highlight of any show it was performed in.

Pete achieved a hauntingly good sound on this demo. I've heard him do it live in recent years and, while enjoyable, the performance doesn't capture the million things that went right for Pete in putting this demo together.
