For the time taken for his album "Blues Funeral" to appear can you honestly say that it comes close to the quality of "The Winding Sheet""Whiskey for the Holy Ghost""Field Songs" or any of his previous stuff. It feels more like a straight forward follow up to "Bubblegum". I think he's a fantastic singer and his recent collabs wt Isobelle Campbell, Soulsavers and Gutter Twins but his writing it feels is suffering of late!!

i saw mark lanegan this April and he kicked ass. He was on time, totally focused and a tremendous presence on stage. Afterwards at the meet&greet he was so obliging and nice to everybody. I know lots of fans who have seen him this year and they all say the same. As for him being "lazy" well, I guess you're being judgemental and unfair. I respect an artist that would rather take his time making a record that is worth a damn than selling out to his label and churning out crap every other year.
