@Seanarnold56I will agree that his operatic approach is certainly not something he is much of an expert in. However, the fact he has made the steps he has a vocalist in a realm that is very different than what he is more technically inclined to is what impresses me here. There's no denying the hard work and effort required to be a great opera singer, however having the chops to pull off the kind of metal Mark performed with Yngwie and the like is very hard as well. He's no Mario Del Monaco however you can't knock him for expanding his versatility.

It' very surprising for a metal singer. I'm italian and I can say his italian is good of course with un english accent. He has a great voice and could be a great tenor. Very good.
