Mariah obviously still has it as shown in this clip. Sure, there may be some rasp and signs of vocal strain, but all in all, Mariah can still perform and sing live very well. I just don't understand why she feels the need to lip sync so often lately. Her talent is still all there and it's a damn shame that she hides it behind the playback.

chyea 110% live. those that are saying she sounded flat, what you are hearing are the fans trying to imitate. the ending is way different than the studio and other live performances. she never nailed the Jesus part like this performance.

It will always be a great song but I think part of that was lip-synced, especially towards the end, considering some earlier notes were flat.

I honestly don't think Mariah's voice have it enough to sing this song anymore, at least sing it and do it justice.I hope I'm wrong, I really do, but by 2:04, it just sounds like this song has become one of those that are out of her reach now.I still love Mariah. I'm not sure for the other parts but surely the last whistle "Higher jesus" is completely lipped. It is from the 2009 and 2010 live version. It is pre recorded. I am NOT a hater but... I want to tell the truth...

When people are paying her to sing she will rest her voice, there for she can give a wig snatching performance like this. Now with two kids, she cant be assed to go on vocal rest for three days to sing on tv when it can be easily dubbed.
