Is Marc seeing the future and discribing the beginnings of 80's new wave and New Romantics? I wonder...

My god, he's adorable, funny, sweet, smart, beautiful, and so sexy I almost can't stand it. The most sublime man ever. He was an angel from heaven.

I love Marc Bolan. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing. Everything he said and did was from a pure artistic vision. He always remained "nice" about it too. It was always about positive vibes - never ugly or destructive. I actually have inspiring dreams about him once in a while - and that is not a gay or sexual thing in any way. He's still my hero, and always will be. He was a gift, and made the Earth a much better place :)

@HollerboyHellbilly The tour Marc's talking about is the Dandy In The Underworld tour of 1977. It was at the legendary Glasgow Apollo and the gig on Saturday night was cancelled at the last minute and re-scheduled for the Sunday night. The Damned were brilliant but T.Rex played a blinder and blew them away. Referring to the technical problems of the previous night Marc commented that he "was here tonight in Sound & Vision" while playing the guitar riff to the Bowie hit of the same name.Superstar

Funny Bolan. He talks a load of rubbish and everyone loves him.

To see one of the shows on that tour would have been an incredible experience.

Marc's a class act!! Notice how he can change into his punky Londoner accent when he needs to. And yes, the guy was way ahead of his time in many things he said over the years. Would have liked to have seen an unedited version of this interview.......never mind

The Ramones biggest hit single in the UK was "Baby I Love You" and it was their first to feature strings. Was Marc good or was Marc good?

Very perceptive of Marc in 1977, the strings were indeed there five years later in the form of synthesizers. He would've used them too.
