Written by Michael W Smith and his wife. This record is Just another reason why I consider this album to be one of the top 5 Christian albums of ALL time. Honestly.

This is such a great album, it really is, not just because it is from my childhood but because it is just good.

I mean it was so good that we played the tape till it got damaged, it was originally a gift given to my mother by a friend.

Having released Abba, Hallelujah( from which comes the popular "Yahweh Is For Us", Maranatha. It seems that Maranatha! Music decided to step their game up as this album has excellent vocals, excellent writing, excellent music.

It just angers me that this kind of quality music has been completely forgotten by the masses. Honestly people don't know what good music is, they really don't.

It is unfortunate that Maranatha! Music chose to go a different route with their music as they even stopped producing the Praise Series albums in 1992 (Hence that's why the Praise 15 album is called "The Finale")

It seems that they chose to focus on just rock/"popular" music probably due to the success of the Praise Band but that success didn't last long did it? as the member of the Maranatha! Praise Band left and the series only lasted for 3years after that from 1996 - 1999.

They tried releasing new Praise CDs 1996-1999 but by then the damage had already been done.

The music (Praise 16-20) was just not on par with the one of old.

In addition with all due respect, to me the company seems to be making abysmal moves to say the least. I mean last time I visited their site, they did not even have an updated copyright info at the bottom of their home page!!!, it read 2009 insetad of 2010 and it's only a few days from 2011.

It will be funny to me if I still see 2009 instead of 2011 in the coming year.

Integrity music on the other hand is just doing better (That doesn't say too much!!) I feel like saying to these "Modern" Christian labels, How many times would you release "CCLI Top 25", "World's Best Praise and Worship", "Gotta Have Gospel", "IWorship". 'Top 40"

Songs 4 Worship was good while it lasted, notice most of the good songs were from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

I mean there is too much of a lack of genuine talent in today's music.

These Christian labels releasing these Greates Hits or whatever are just pathetic to me. I mean they are not even trying to produce a great product anymore.

Please show me any new Christian album that was released this year that can stand up to this one?

Ooops just checked the Integrity Website and what do I see at the bottom "2007 Integrity media".

I mean come on guys invest properly in your brand and definitely step your game up.

I can already see these labels itching to release Top 25 Christian Songs 2011 or iWorship 2011 or wow 2011.

I bet you that you will see "How Great Is Our God" on these and for soem years to come.

You guys can definitely do better. I mean really what does Susan Boyle have to do with Praise and Worship.

If you guys were actually making good quality music, trust me, you wouldn't be so desperate.

This song was written by Micheal W Smith and his wife and was released on his 1984 album.

Maranatha! (Well the Maranatha of old) did this great song justice.

I especially love 1:25

Hosanna to the GOD of heaven indeed.

Sorry polly jetix, but modern current christian music is awful compared to 70's, 80's, and 90's. Has zero to do with age. And i have heard many young people say the older christian music is many times more moving and spiritual compared to current tastless generation. Has nothing to do with age at all.

Just because we enjoy the music we grew up with doesn't mean other kinds of music are bad or less spiritual. After all, each generation of Christian history has had its own type of spiritual music. The Amish have stuck with the style of the 1500's, labeling all other styles as "worldly." They feel so comforted and holy while singing slow Gregorian chants, in unison, with no harmony. Why do they feel such singing is more holy? Because it FEELS more holy to THEM.And that really is the only reason we FEEL our own favorite style is "more holy" than any more modern style.I grew up Mennonite. We sang the Wesleyan hymns, and a few from the 1600's.The Maranatha Singers were a little edgy for us, though I loved their music. I felt, and still feel, the move of the Spirit in their music. But that doesn't mean newer styles are any less of the Spirit.Maranatha was making money off Hosanna, back then. So don't start making this about money. It's about personal comfort zones. And it's very easy to confuse emotional comfort with spiritual comfort.it's not just the Pentecostals who get soulish emotions confused with spirituality. EVERY denomination has this problem!

Love Marantha singers. Really inspiring song. 107 against 1, says it all. But even if it was one who loved against 107 who hated, Jesus would choose the one who loved. He loves the unrighteous, but He loves the righteous so.

Your comments are almost as good as the music itself. The other day we had Groove Awards in my country, something similar to Dove Awards and the winners were..well..OMG!!! I wonder where the rain started beating on gospel music. Love of filthy lucre?? I wonder how much money our fathers who wroe the immortal hymns made!!
