@punkoid76 nice story that mate, shame about the top like!! aye the riverside was canny, seen sham there aswell, mind to many awful nazi skinhead for my liking. though jimmy did give the tossa's 6 nowt. always preferred the mayfair myself like, though the uni was canny, the exploited were good there as were slf on a few occasions . hate the city hall though, seen the stranglers there, and all this being told to not stand up at a punk concert was way to much for me.

@micknufc I know exactly what you meen, I was born in 70! I actually met Nicky and Richie after a gig, I saw them about 5 times when Richie was in them, nice lads, they signed a top of mine (that I have sinced discarded, shame as it is probably worth a ton these days!). I actually miss the Riverside more than any other venue, great place, saw many, many bands there and even played it a few time in my 90s punk band...ah, the good ole days!!

@punkoid76 well i must have been at the second mate, there were a few more than 30 there. infact there was a kid who looked like richey being passed around. bit weird like but never mind. aye, they were so exciting for someone born in 71, and hung on to the tail end of original punk ,then after nirvana woke a few things back up again, well the manics for me were the future. nice while it lasted eh?

@micknufc I saw them twice at the riverside in 92, there were about 30 people at the first gig, but it was full for the second one...a shame they only burned brightly for such a short time before slipping into mediocrity.
