music power of

Decades later and I still can't listen to this song without getting a little sniffly. Regardless, this is pretty much my mood right now.

Once there was class war, but not any longer.Because baby we are all bourgeois now, So go out and make your way in the world. We're free to choose. We're all free to choose.

woodyblack - I agree with you on the values etc what the song is about.I have always love the manics since I was 16 and first heard "Motown Junk"their lyrics are of a political message, but more about us being slaves to the system.Basically what I have realised is, The MANICS = a voice for those oppressed.Forget the shit that's a fad for a year or two - get into the Manics, get their catalogue and enjoy!!!

is this song about cultural marxism and liberalism ?like he is apologizing to our children - for us turning our back on traditional values - and western civilization - because - "everything must go" - we must get rid of all of it - we must destroy it.and like ... he's saying - I hope future generations will forgive us ?maybe. unlikely, though.
