It you've never heard this, then you owe yourself an experience. I'll never forget when I first heard this recording and how utterly gobsmacked I was by it. I'd already been a Manhattan Transfer fan for a couple of years. They must have done this around 1980. It chokes me up every time.When daughter was born (in January 1982), we brought her home from the hospital on the second day and after settling in with her, I took her into the living room and said, "This is called *music*. You're gonna love it." And I dropped the needle on a Manhattan Transfer record.
