JOHN McGEOCH FUE EL MEJOR GUITARRISTA DE SU EPOCA EN ESTE VIDEO LLEGA AL PAROXISMO DE LA PERFECCION, ENTRA EN UNA ESPECIE DE TRANCE MUSICAL, ES INCREIBLE, ERIZA LA PIEL OIRLO Y VERLO, ESTREMECE TANTO PODER,,,EN MI HUMILDE OPINION ''REAL LIFE'' ES EL MEJOR TRABAJO DE TODA LA CARRERA DE MAGAZINE, ES UN ALBUM DEFINITIVO, INDISPENSABLE, SIEMPRE LE ESTARE AGRADECIDO A MI PADRE POR HABERMELO DADO A CONOCER, GRACIAS PA

Brought to you by Yamaha musical instruments. John McGeoch with his SG1000, and Dave Formula with a Yamaha YC45D organ, and probably an SS30 string synth as well.

Astonishing - yes. Punk - no. Spare me the boring, shallow labels - this is unclassifiable but brilliant - as all great music is. Those who continue to pin the "punk" label to this clearly have little idea about music in general - what exactly is "punK" about this? - the extended guitar solos, the +5 minute duration, the high standard of musicianship? This is about as "punk" as Television's "Marquee Moon" or Patti Smith's "Horses" - i.e., not at all.Astonishing - yes. A very rare jewel of a band which should have been treasured.

Brilliant piece by a terrific band- Howard Devoto does look like Michael Gove, though !

I know that many here won't share my judgement about Magazine. When I first heard it I found it new.But 30 years after I hear them as very close to what Hawkwind did at that era (hear "Strangeness,Quark & Charm" or "Hawklord"), but their musical skill is much higher. In a way they are a progressive rock band in the first meaning of the word (I speak here of creating new atmospheres with complex frame as King Crimson not of all the musical clichés).Yet they remain natural. What a tour de force !

I wonder how popular this was at the time its release. It's genius regardless.
