Sister Sister

its a great album, but its mostly music written by Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks) with the original singer Howard Devot - not really Magazine to my ears, but that's me.

I wasn't sure about this album when I heard it first, I wanted the music to sound like the sublime Magazine I lived my teenage years to. It definitely requires listening to several times -------- then it blows your mind! Brilliant Howard, more please.

So much tension after all the interim years, will they be any good? will the album be embarrassingly poor?.......forget about any doubts this is a truly brilliant album,I can't believe how it fits seamlessly with the old stuff!! Fantastic, what an opening track.

Feed the Enemy

Look up Feed The Enemy my Facebook page. This album is brilliant and don't let anyone tell you differently. On its release it was like none of those crappy Simon Cowell TV shows had ever existed. More Howard please and soon. Very soon in fact.

Noko is probably the only person right for the gig after John McGeoch.

Simply marvellous, what a way to come back after all those years. I bought the album "hoping" that it would be good.....well it's much better than that,it's absolutely brilliant. Buy it,if you haven't done already and you'll see what I mean (Do The Meaning).

I recently discovered that Magazine, one of my all-time favorite bands, came out with a new album in 2011, *No Thyself*. Their first album in 30 years. I've only listened to it once so far, but I'm totally loving it. As many reviewers have said, it's the album that should've been the 4th album instead of 1981's *Magic, Murder and the Weather*. A natural progression from the classic *The Correct Use of Soap*. The signature fretless bass sound is there (although not played by Barry Adamson, who had other commitments when the album was being recorded). And Dave Formula's analog synth sound is intact also, but it doesn't feel dated. The upgraded production helps. This is the leadoff track on the album, but I think it will not end being my favorite by any means. Still, it's very good, and was co-written by Pete Shelley (another favorite artist of mine) of the Buzzcocks.

Strange that this actually does sound like a progression for Magazine and Luxuria as well and I'm so glad to hear it be this great. Can't wait to hear more and hold out hope that I'll get to see them once again. Thank you.
