Mike McCready plays the same solo on this as in yellow ledbetter, just slowed slightly. Thought it sounded familiar.

Disappearing One

Mark's voice has deepened over the years. If you compare The Winding Sheet with Blues Funeral, there's a pretty big difference, and it's greater still if you go back to '80's Trees material. Part of it is style of course, but it's more a matter of simply noticing it less because he never had the kind of range that Chris did. Age has forced Chris to change more than Mark.

I love mark!!!! but Chris dose sound good live I've seen audio slave and sound garden live he was perfect both performances and Marks voice in Qotsa live was spectacular!!!!

Well Chris over the years developed bluesy singing and get that bluesy distorted sound that really suits him well, what's wrong with that? :)

you obviously dont know shit about music. you think he sounds weak because you equate mad season solely with layne. there was a reason layne wanted to work with lanegan.

This is Mark Lanegan buddy. He is a great fucking songwriter and singer, just like Layne, and Mark was just as much involved with Mad Season as Layne was. In my opinion, this song is one of their better, so just drop it. these songs which is getting released now after all those fucking years are pure gold.
