I was a cub scout in '59, and my mother was the troop leader. Bobby Darin was going to perform in town, and she talked Bobby Darin's manager into allowing the scouts to sit in during the rehearsal for the show. What a treat for a bunch of kids! I've been a big fan of his ever since. Great performer!

Actually, Bobby Darin was not a drinker. If you read any books about him, that's one of the things mentioned in all of them. He was very anti-alcohol and drug abuse also, but I do think it was mostly because of the medications he had to take for his heart.
