What i don't understand is how we continue to reward Law Enforcement with promotions, resources and pay. Despite all of the swat teams, massive funding and unlimited laws and resources the police have utterly failed to stop drugs. Any city, any country you can go out and get high. Right or wrong lets focus on whether or not the current approach works. In any other job if my record of success was similar to the drug war I would have been fired years ago. Why reward the parasitic lawyers, cops, judges and prisons. They have failed. Making drugs illegal only encourages the cartels and gangs. Every cop contributes to an increase in price that encourages more drugs to enter a market. The drug war needs to end and we need to treat addiction as the health issue it is. NB: glial neurotransmitter inflammation is responsible for the yucky feeling we get when we're not on drugs. People are primed in their pre/post natal periods of their life to have hyperactive glial activation. Drug addiction isn't a choice. Its a malfunction of our brain. This is why it is so hard to stop when you are literally sick. It has nothing to do with "reward/pleasure" centres. Its not a weakness of character. Its no different then sexuality.
