Coltrane's influence shows here. Greatly reduced vibrato and enhanced speed. Art Pepper also was affected by Coltrane, with a not so good result. Always a great question for artists: Do you stay hip by adopting the latest trend, or stay true? An older style can remain very relevant, IF the chops don't fade, and if the should remains pure.10 years ago
