I love the fact Kelly is a lamb ! And she is a talented singer unlike some of today's artists ! Mariah is a vocal legend and even today she is still delivering amazing performances and that's why she is considered a legendary vocalist !

I guess it's your opinion on whether or not she's a great singer so power to you in that ense, but in my honest opinion, based off of her abilities and what she's shown in the past 10 years, she's MORE than just a good singer. That's just ridiculous lol There are rarely FEW that have shown abilities as impressive as Kelly's. If you don't think she's great, then fine, that's you, but to me and many others, she's a GREAT singer and is one of the best singers in the industry...EVER xD

Kelly has TONS of resonant notes. And Kelly's intonation is actually really good. She has her moments but for the most part her intonation is GREAT. Look at mimi now lol I don't take into account her worst moments but her best and they compensate and overreign her feeble vocal moments. Kelly's exhibited EXCELLENT use of melisma whenever she decides to entice it within her performances. Kelly's breath/diaphragmic support is EXCELLENT. Stop undermining Kelly's vocal ability. She's a GREAT singer.

And Check Kelly's live rendition of The Trouble With Love Is on Ryan. The belting was completely effortless/resonant. NO HIGH LARYNX. Excellent agile runs. Excellent consistency & range. And you CANT belt extremely high, and sustain it with excellent, unthinning tonal colour & with a fast, EVEN vibrato without diaphragmic support. GREAT disaphragmic support at that, so you're wrong lol I'd tell you don't be stupid but with comments like that I dont need to lol Kelly's a close bet so deal with it

I never said taht, learn how to read. And I was just saying the F7 to prove that she has a largely extensive range. Never said having a higher tessitura makes you better, but you're inclined to hit higher notes with more ease. Kelly doesn't scream her upper belts at all. They're very neutral, with excellent tonal production & control. She can sustain them for long periods of time with an EVEN, fast, vibrato. That requires a lot of diaphragmic support and control. To maintain the tonal colour without thinning means it's NOT screaming. Her falsetto KILLS most female singer's. Is she better? No, but she's close.

Mariah has one whole octave lower than Kelly does in her chest voice, while Kelly is once note short of an octave higher than Mariah in chest range. Therefore, Mariah has a larger chest range. Also, Kelly has only made it to g6. Not past the 7th octave.

Kelly can't form words in Whistle. Mariah's tessitura is actually pretty high. Her lowest notes don't have as good support as her midrange. Her voice is the way it is because of nodules- confirmed by Mariah herself.

Mariah IS a soprano. I actually looked up SEVERAL sources. Her timbre is the way it is because of her VOCAL NODULES. They deepen and make her voice husky. Mariah can do a sustained whistle note with vibrato- she can even form words in the register. By agility I meant speed. I don't know what you meant, but Mariah's voice is faster. And it WAS stronger.

Mariah has WAAAY more agility in her chest voice: how else could she do those amazing melismas Kelly can only dream of. Kelly, contrary to the popular rumor, does NOT have a whistle register. Mariah has a wider chest range, what and who are you talking about? Hello? high belts in WBT? High belts in Vanishing? Uh, yeah.

Dude compare the 2 at the same age. You will see that Mariah had TONS of power, way more than she does now. And how is Kelly unique but not Mariah ? Lmao never heard that one before. Mariah has a unique texture, its obvious you don't know what you are talking about. This was a good version, not gunna lie but I still think Mariah is better.

No, Kelly isn't as good as Mariah, and never will be. Mariah has vocal qualities that make her a superior singer- her range, her voice's adaptability, and her power. Mariah's 5 octave range is UNTOUCHED by any other diva, Mariah's voice can CHANGE to fit different songs, and her voice, though it has thinned, remains more powerful than about 90% of ALL divas out there, Kelly included.
