The cause was lung cancer. He died on 25th August 1995 and was only 48 years old.

Great! When I was on my first pop concert at the age of 13 Long Tall Ernie was one of the acts there. Very talented band.Didn't know that Arnie is dead though. Does anybody know why he died?
