I would like to share some posts others have made on my channel about The Logical song:
The orchestra is wonderful--Roger's voice as lovely as a soft pillow...brilliant composition. "The questions run so deep"......
What a timeless song and a timeless voice. This is one of those rare instances when an artist performs a song years after it was first recorded and it's MORE powerful than the original.
I could really relate to this song when it was released, it touches my soul and memories so closely. Roger's lyrics are so true school kills all the wonder of the world making some of us "logical" and cynical, this song always takes me back to my thoughts before I was sent to school (a mind altering prison) to the days of carefree wonder before 1967. And I'm still asking the same question, " who and why am I, who I am? "
"This is a song that many people can relate to..." - Oh, yes it is! :o) That is the magic of a great artist, be it a poet, a painter, a songwriter, an author or a sculptor: to put complex things into "simple" words/forms or colours and resonate with people, bringing out the emotions we all share. Thank you - Danke - Dank je wel - Merci - Grazie mille - Gracias - Obrigado - Dekuji moc - Tac sa myckett - Mange tak - Domo arigato!!
