+Martha Magenta _ *Me too dude. When my gf and I broke up I was devastated. I**thought Id lost her forever and she wouldnt talk to me no matter**what I did. And I was shocked when she responded right**away. We're talking again and its turning into more. Thanks to it.. :))*

This song never fails to knock me on my ass. SO well written, with SUCH a dead, cynical vocal delivery--the SOUND of a dying relationship. Tried to sing this song recently, couldn't get past the "boxed it up" part without tearing up. Along with Neil Young's "Don't Cry" and Kim Carnes's "Miss You Tonight," one of the Power Trio of Breakup Songs. P.S. As with Tracy Chapman, Liz's first album set the bar too high, too soon. A debut album has NO BIZ being this good, Liz!

Perfectly captures the feel of a dying relationship without resorting to grandiose cliches. Thirty million Taylor Swifts writing for 600 years could never create anything equalling its power. This is probably my favorite song on Guyville.

Aw, this really cheered me up. I hardly recognized people could feel this way. It's personally reassuring to know some do.

I got this song on a mix~tape from my girlfriend back in the early '90s. We broke up not long after. I was that guy! I wish my ex the best in life now and I'm sorry for how I was. Funny how life takes longer than you can imagine to take place. I guess that's because we live in a linear world. Hindsight 20/20 she really wasn't that bad, in fact she was out of my league! I doubt I'll ever see her again, but I hope she found the right mate.
