I love that with each album, Liz has grown up a bit: wth Girly Sound, she was an artist; with Exile, she was woman scorned; with WhipSmart, she was crazy in love; with WCSE, she realized that you can't stay crazy in love forever; with self-titled, tried to remember how she used to be before the stifling relationship and may have gone overboard; with Somebody's Miracle, she remembed she wasn't a kid anymore (I love that!); and with FunStyle, she came full circle to Girly Sound.

@hortonhcci yeah she seems to have lost her art, trying to be commercial hit star. the "college" age stuff was fearless and completely unique. I too find her guitar playing to be completely great, as in she should be a noted guitar player.

What is all this sell-out talk? Check out how her tongue crosses her teeth at 2:24. And the lyrics "Do you really know me at all?" Obviously many want her to be the angtst ridden teenager from the first album, as great as it was, but that is not Liz, if you don't like the new stuff then get lost. The critics would not catch her if she falls.

I hate it when people bitterly call someone a sellout. Hey, it's great to do something for artistic value, but it's also a job. It's about money, and making as much as you can because most artists don't have a 40-year career and pension. Good for her hitting the mainstream a bit more.

Everyone seems to miss the fact that she sings flat or sharp most of the time. Also, has almost no power in her voice. She seems to write songs that she can't sing. Good songs though.
