The only group that might rival LVB is the Eagles. LVB was (in my eyes ) the best group ever. John Farnahm's vocals and live show vocals cannot be duplicated today. The recording you just watched had no modern fixes. These guys were really that good.

As a former musician, it is my stubborn, but humble, opinion that this LIVE performance by LRB and John Farnham was the ABSOLUTE BEST CONCERT EVER CAPTURED ON TAPE!! Back in 1983 it was simul-cast on HBO Cable and many FM Radio Stations that given night. I watched it in real-time, as well as, every repeat broadcast by HBO that month. MY QUESTION: does "anyone" know if-and-where a fine, high resolution DVD, and CD soundtrack, are available (commercially authorized or bootleg)??

HBO does not own the rights to this show.....they never did own the rights to this show...they only had broadcast rights. The producer owns the show.

I sure would, they are in a league of their own. John Farnams rendition of Cool Change is the absolute best!!, I was fortunate to see this line up in concert in Spokane, WA. Amazing!! I have this concert on VHS and it is just about worn out. I would love a copy on DVD!!

@gruss1955 The best LRB lineup in my opinion: Farnham/Birtles/Goble/Nelson/Housden/Pellicci. Even if you replaced Farnham with Shorrock, you'd still have a good lineup.
