I have never heard anyone sing this song "Farewell Party" except Gene Watson and it is without a doubt the best version I have ever heard. I didn't know anyone else sung this song except Gene Watson until last night (01/09/15). For the first time I heard Little Jimmy Dickens sing this song "Farewell Party" and I like Gene Watson's version the best. I am also from Beckley, WV and it is very close to Bolt, WV where Little Jimmy Dickens is from. By the time I heard Country Music Little Jimmy Dickens had already left WV so I didn't know anyone else sung this beautiful song. RIP Little Jimmy Dickens. Willis Mae Trent/Duran

Such an incredible talent he had. Not to mention his sense of humor. I love that photo of Jimmy, with the Oak Ridge Boys, dressed as William Lee Golden.
