@XDkBsX True.. Mike had wanted to write the song for years... And yes, in the very beginning it was about a friend of his, but he just couldn't write it. Then some years later, whether or not Chester was the inspiration, Mike finished it, but Chester refused to sing it because when he read it, he litterally broke down in tears - even more so when he tried to sing it live. Eventually he did it, but the first performances of the song were few and far between..

@aattwwss well..not really. it was written about Bennington due to his extended drug abuse issues, although Shinoda began writing the song before he met Bennington. The rumor has its roots in Bennington's fear that he didnt want to play the song at early live shows, because he was able to relate to it so closely. i got this on a website
