One of the best. What a voice from such a beauty.

We fall down on our knees when Linda sings. The Ronstadt renaissance was long overdue - due in part to her own humility. Finally she is recognized for "her one of a kind voice".

I saw LR perform this song live at about this time, mid 70's. When she got to the line "down on my knees" she went all the way up to an F note. She sang it out with full power and grace. It left me completely weak. 40 years later, I still can't forget that stunning performance. Does anyone have a recording of her doing that? Please?

This is how a true artist did it in 1976, youngsters. No fancy stage show, no boy dancers. You had to have the talent to carry it off, and Linda did. Plus she had a top-flight band.

one of the most touching love songs ever written. Linda's version of it drags the tears out of me.

In her beautiful book, "Simple Dreams", she writes how great it was to perform in smaller, acoustic-friendly venues of Europe, as apposed to large arenas in the U.S. Listening to this again, I get it. But then again, I would listen to this incredible woman in my room--anywhere!! PD may have silenced her Voice, but she will never be forgotten!!

Yes, that is it. No fancy trills or riffs, no vacuous emoting, no achy-breaky vibrato, no little girly lisping; just a strong, warm voice with an amazing range that can deliver the song; any song.

Imagine how lucky we are to be on the planet the same time Linda is. To have heard her live in concert at least 6 times and to have adored her all these years has been a priviledge in my life. May your illness respond to treatment and may you take comfort from our love and respect.

she may not have written these amazing songs, but she delivers them better than anybody else has or will, ie she needs to be inducted into r&r hall of fame asap, it's complete utter bs that this is not already happened. where's the petition? nobody can vocally touch linda ronstadt, she's peerless

I was at this concert. Seems like last night. With Andrew Gold, too. All we have today are a bunch of pole-dancing lip-synchers.
