I guess this is Linda on the cusp of the stuff I loved and other stuff I loved less, shall we say. I know she was the queen of any genre she chose to sing but The Stone Poneys folk stuff, great, rock goddess great, big band and mariachi not so great. Folk, country stuff with Emmy-Lou and Dolly, pretty great. Then I think she went back a little to "pop" and I liked that. I don't like the way she denies her origins in song but she is still my favourite singer

the 80s was sumthin else for her. her voice was in its absolute mindboggling prime, and of course it was always one of the top 5 she was Opera Penzance, glam rock, traditional pop standards, mexicano regional, real country Trio, pop rock Neville- and each with authentic costumes and bands and orchestras nobody ever did anythig like than in their career
