This is how Amazing Grace plays in my head whenever somebody mentions it, and when I come across a plain version playing, I can't help but wish people like Linda Hopkins would suddenly burst in singing it how it should be sung.

In 1996 i was privileged to work with Ms Hopkins AKA "The Kid" to work with her on the musical Black and Blue for 90 shows as an audio engineer. I have favourable memories of that time.

I have been in awe of Ms Hopkins voice since I 1st saw her on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson....holy cow, what a voice!

This puts me in mind of the night I saw Miss Linda in "Your Arm's Too Short To Fight With God" in Los Angeles. She, and the rest of the cast, must have done a dozen encores that night. One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Linda Hopkins is one of the greats.
