I would have to say I don't think this song is about people copying others. I'd say it's more about the bad influences that are changing the young people dramatically in our society: heavy partying, having sex with almost anyone, drugs, that sort of thing. She's saying it's hard to go against the flow if everyone in the world is doing it, which isn't what we need. It's what starts bullying, helps some suicides happen... you name it. It's disgusting. Just my personal opinion.
