That "Motown electric piano" is really Skip Knape (Van Winkle) from Tulsa on the Hammond B-3. Drummer on this cut is Skip's partner, Dave Teegarden. Note that there is NO bass player. Skip petals the bass on his B-3. Guitarist is the late Mike Bruce (also from Tulsa).

Wonder if Bob ever reads these comments. If he does, Hey Bob, thanks for the music. I've bought everything you ever released, and usually within a week or so of it being released, and never regretted a penny. Thanks for the music, from Windsor, Ontario. Right across the river from Detroit.

Has the exact beat of " Johnny Be Good " in my opinion, but song/lyrics are great in their own right. Thanks for the upload.

This tune (actually the whole album) brings back great memories of my 'wild west' days in the early 70s- thanks for posting it.

Obviously,Bob Seger ends his concerts with this song. That's why his live recordings LIVE BULLET and NINE TONIGHT end with this song. However,in concert there are one or two extended musical breaks in the song, written by oldies legend Chuck Berry under his birthname which is not that.
