This is another way to play triplets. Once you get the stroke down, you'll have loads of fun with this one, give it a go around the toms and experiment. This should give you more control, freedom and speed over triplets. I didn't find a need to talk here because everything I'm doing is the same stroke RLRRLL. which is a Paradiddle-diddle.

Excellent- A new teacher w/ some Bonham-technique (since I last looked a few years ago...) If you de-interlace your video when you output it you'll lose that 'combing' effect, btw. (or maybe shoot progressive if poss.) Thanks again!

Great stuff, thanks so much for sharing. This is a very musical rudiment and these rudiments make executing grooves and fills a much simpler and easier endeavor. Your drums sound fabulous.

i noticed that my traditional paradiddles get better when i vary them and do (for example) paradiddle-diddles, variety is the spice that keeps me going!

what ever feels best to you and produces the same sound is ok. I would suggest practicing both ways.

hey i had trouble playing this so i start with my left hand rather than my right. so instead of RLRRLL i do LRLLRR. is this normal? or is this even okay to be considered a paradiddle-diddle?
