It's time that the Bear Family/Mercury box is followed by one containing all her post-1969 work. I personally don't care much for her Canvas LP with it's played-to-the-bone 1970s pop standards (save for her absolutely beautiful rendition of Christopher Cross's Sailing), but there's enough other great material to be found. The Gore & Lou Christie duets, for instance.Btw, a few years back someone mentioned that she once performed on stage with my idol PJ Proby, but Google comes up with nothing now. Wishful thinking on my account :)? Anyone who knows more?

The Bear Family box set only included content recorded by Lesley when she was with Mercury records (all of her hits were on Mercury). Lesley released four Bob Crewe singles in 1970-71. They might be interesting, but you hear for yourself why none of these songs were hits.

Why was this absent from the Bear Family compilation box?? They filled the last record in the set out with French, German and Italian versions of her signature hits. I know that around 1963-1964 it was done often by English and American artists, an obligation to meet European fans, and they were the original recordings with the artist in the foreign language dubbed into, but Lesley's sound awful. A real bonus waste.
