Jimmy Savile O.B.E. looks at the weekly pop chart from 15th September 1977 and introduces Dr Feelgood, Yvonne Elliman, The Dooleys, David Soul, Danny Mirror, Elkie Brooks, Generation X, Patsy Gallant and two Legs & Co dance sequence's.
Here we go again, Elvis still at number 1 (great song thou), and by the looks of it Legs & the audience have lost the will to live. I think Sue must of had foresight and took a holiday for two versions of this (the rest must of been fuming), and rightly so.
The routine is the usual, dancing inter-cut with Elvis fat/thin slides, and the girls grinning and bearing it (willing this run to end - not long to go thou ladies) and giving it all they have got for a variation on the same old fare for this track (still not on par with the original short shorts version)
Still, it's entertaining, and the girls (this time round) are in their Roadrunner outfits (even thou the other routine was 'Deep Down Inside' - in which they normally wear that outfit - but not this week)...confused
I have sat on this routine for a few weeks now, since the JS stuff broke, this would of been from BBC4 showing, but alas was pulled (as well as any further ones) so this is from a early 90's showing.
Thanks (as always) to P4PM for doing m a fresh extract and trying to make it look crisper, one day we might get to see a decent copy. This has been colour corrected and enhanced slightly by me.
