Saw Lee Michaels many times back in the late 60's. I recall a concert in Fresno, Ca. The crowd in anticipation was of course crowed up to the stage. Lee hit the opening chord of Stormy Monday and the first 3 rows moved back. Wow, that Hammond organ with that Lessie speaker.

Yes it's too bad there are not more vids of Lee...I read that there was a documentary about him and his cheetahs somewhere out there...I havent been able to find anything like that anywhere though :(

I too wish there were more videos. Saw this man for the first time circa 1970, as the opening act for Creedence Clearwater. I had never heard of him - he and Frosty blew the roof off the arena. The concert that followed Lee's performance was definitely anticlimactic, and I've been in awe of Lee's music ever since.

Damn! I listen to a lot of newer bands out today from indie to alternative and when I see this all I can say is, "Music today holds no candle to stuff like this"! I actually feel blown away by this performance.
