Laura has both musical skill and an intriguing persona. She is evocative of a female archetype that is both delicate and formidable, much like Lisa Hannigan. I am not in the demographic for this music (I am sixty), but I will say this much: the Feminine is under attack, and it is about time it fought back. Whether she knows it or not, her strength comes from a grounding in tradition, and the enticements of postmodern normlessness and nihilism should be shunned without apology.

Laura Marling is the best of the best. Thirty years from now she will be the Laura Marling we all mention in the same breath of Joni Mitchell, PJ Harvey.. Four albums before 25 and every single song is flawless and breath taking. We are so fortunate to have her in this generation to counter the cheap pop culture influences of J Lo, Swift, Perry....I was so fortunate to see her live performances over the year and most recently in NYC -- she is breath taking!!!!
