Excellente version instrumentale de MISTY .le mélange du son jazzy de l'archtop et du solo agréablement saturé et plus aigu est très plaisant .. Larry est un très grand !!!

Larry and Tal obviously were having a ball playing together in the styles they chose so any negative comments are to be considered ridiculous.

Carlton can actually play a chord melody version of Misty that would have made Farlow proud. It wouldn't have been right for the audience (mid-brow), nor would Carlton do well to play that way in front of Farlow, who could eat him alive in that vein.

Thanks for the bass playing, Mr Unknown, and the high-hat and brush work, Mr Drummer. It was brilliant as well!!!

Two great guitarists with completely different styles. LC sounds like he wants to be the "bull in the china shop" on the back of the great Tal Farlow who pioneered playing these compositions for jazz guitar. There is a movement of musicians myself included who like to "funk up the standards". If they weren't already standards we couldn't be irreverent in what styles we superimposed over them. LC like someone said was incredibly successful in his own style fusion of rock blues tones and jazz harmonies. Why shit on Tal Farlow to make a point that you're the new thing.
