speaking as a dad my daughter got engaged a few weeks ago. They have set the date for august 2016. Breanna is my only daughter I have been a single dad since she was 3 years old. I have raised her and her younger brother on my own. She is my baby girl,and this is the song she wants to dance to. I love her so much it has been tough for the three of us, and it I'd so hard to let her go. I knew how wonderful a person I raised when she told her little brother who is only 17 .That she wanted him and I to walk her down the aisle together. Her brother is a tough kid when he hugged her and he cried I realized I did a good job.

This a good song but it makes me cry because of the fact that I wont get a father daughter dance because my father decided that I was the reason his marriage fell apart and decided that he didn't want anything to do with me....There are days that it doesn't bother me that my dad was never in my life but then there are days like today where it seems like all I do is think about him and the life I could have had and think about how one day on that special day I wont have my father to give me away or to dance with. When that happens I just tell myself that I am a strong girl and strong girls can get past all that. Some days it works and some days it doesn't.
