This here album is one that has aged like a fine wine...honestly it sounds better to me now than when I had the tape back in 89 or so...sooooo many killer heavy riffs...sometimes several in one song...such a quality LP.

I've been listening to Kreator since high school and I haven't stopped at all! I remember having the endless pain CD terrible certainty extreme aggression and this one pleasure to kill the most awesome CD ever! This is one of my favorite songs but my most favorite song is a riot of violence with the drummer Ventor singing!!

On Kreator's website, I was asked to give 2 songs I would like to hear live. I picked this song and Some Pain Will Last. One old, and one sorta new (compared to Kreator's old style, anyway). I love Kreator's old stuff, but think they have progressed so much now that they have a classically trained guitarist in Sami Yli Sirnio, that they now are by far the world's best thrash band. They have been my favorite band since my high school days in the 1980's.

I know it's pretty late, but that sound might be the rubbing of the guitar picks against the strings. It's what happens when you use a lot of distortion and you don't use a noisegate. It also depends on the inclination between the pick and the strings. It's also interesting to note that some guitarists use it in order to slightly modify their sound (see: /watch?v=102mdX-UEzI )
