It's kinda funny....on these comments farther down the list there is one person that claims (and is most probably right) that both Metallica and Slayer were bigger influences than Kreator.......Let's try and remember now that Kreator is from Germany and both Slayer and Metallica came up in southern California. Since Kreator is noted and thought of as huge influences on both black metal and death metal, I'd have to say that Slayer and Metallica had a huge advantage over Kreator as NO GERMAN BAND IS GOING TO BE AS INFLUENTIAL as 2 American bands from SoCal even if those Germans are the best live band ever, are now recording their studio albums live (let Metallica and Slayer try that and see what their music sounds like....R.I.P. Jeff Hanneman) even if that German band does their lyrics in their 2nd language and caused MANY death metal bands to move to Tampa and Orlando, Florida so they could get exposure. Kreator never moved for extra exposure...but it would have been neat to see what kind of influences they would have made if they chose to move their get-up to the US.Another person on this comment board made a list where he was ranking a top 10 in thrash metal. He had "Early Metallica at #1. WHAT? So early Metallica was the greatest ever and was better than Kreator's thrash? What was Metallica's music that wasn't "early"? The reason that I ask is simple...."The Four Horseman", "Seek and Destroy", and "No Remorse" were 3 songs from Metallica's first 8 song LP. NOW...if you really think those 3 songs, or "Hit the Lights", along with the rest of that garbage that the "Kill 'em All" LP constitutes as the "BEST THRASH METAL EVER", you have been hiding under a rock for quite a while (about 30 years...I know. I'm 41 years old) because that entire LP as a thrash album doesn't even make it into the correct genre. Metallica is not and never have been a thrash band (mostly because Lars Ulrich can't keep up with ANY TRUE THRASH DRUMMER). Oh...on that top 10 list that this guy made were 3 bands (Kreator, Sodom, and Destruction) from Germany. I'm an American but German thrash rules American thrash.I know that a lot of you out there are Metallica fans....but one day you are going to have to realize that Kreator is a thrash band...and when you listen to almost any Metallica song and listen to a Kreator song right afterwards, you MUST realize that the two bands sound different because they are in two completely genres of music. Kreator is a thrash band. Metallica was once a speed metal band...they are now more of a rock-n-roll band. Hell...Disturbed are closer to thrash than Metallica! If you want to call Metallica a heavy metal band...okay...but they are barely that. Black Sabbath is a heavy metal band and like Metallica, neither are thrash bands. SORRY! You people that rank Metallica as the best thrash band ever (in any way, shape, or form) simply DO NOT KNOW WHAT THRASH METAL IS.

To all of you Metallica fans that are pissy at me over my other comment on how Metallica is NOT a thrash band and their first 3 albums were "sub-par" remember this: Music is an art form. When musicians play their music, they are showing you their art through aural (hearing) means. I was not trying to get you to like Kreator or dislike Metallica. Everyone has their own taste and opinions and all of us are entitled to them. However, when you hear Kreator and then hear Metallica, you can tell that TWO DIFFERENT styles of music are being played. Kreator is 100% for sure a classic THRASH METAL BAND....where does that leave Metallica?Everyone has their own taste though, so don't think that I just hate all Metallica fans on principle alone. Taste is taste and we all have our own...BUT I do know what thrash metal is...and neither Metallica and Megadeth apply.

To all of you that REALLY think bands like Metallica and Megadeth are better than Kreator...let me say first that YOU ARE LOST! In addition..."to each their own" and taste is taste, so if in your taste of music, you really believe that Metallica and Megadeth are better bands than Kreator, then that is your opinion that you are entitled to. Kreator IS THE BEST METAL BAND IN HISTORY, though. And, I'd get used to it as even though they are getting older, their next album is due out around January 1, 2016. And see...Kreator's albums keep getting BETTER. Metallica and Megadeth on the other hand have been throwing albums at us for at least 15 years that if they weren't albums made by Metallica and Megadeth, even their BEST fans would call those albums what they are...which is GARBAGE. Afterwards, they'd probably put some Kreator on....Do you know why? Because, unlike Metallica and Megadeth, Kreator's newer albums, like their old albums can still clean your ears out like a q-tip from hell. Metallica and Megadeth's albums are lucky to have 2 decent songs on them nowadays...and, contrary to popular belief, Metallica's first 3 albums were not GREAT albums. They simply took NWOBHM and then other bands quickly bypassed them as Metallica turned into nothing more than what they are which is a band with a great guitarist (Kirk Hammett), an absolutely awful drummer (Lars Ulrich), and a fan base full of people that think Metallica qualifies as a "thrash metal" band when they are nowhere close and haven't been since their humble beginnings before Hammett and with Mustaine when they were simply a "speed metal" band. Metallica was NEVER a thrash metal band, but for some reason their fans get a rebellious feeling when they listen to Metallica like they are listening to thrash...sorry, but they are not a thrash band and their first 3 albums were good for one reason only....It showed the other bands out there that wanted to be thrash bands that all it took to beat Metallica in the thrash game was to get a drummer that could play a double bass set and play with feeling that your heart tells you to...instead of playing songs because of how well they line your pockets because you are playing a lie to your most important people out there. Those people, of course, are the Metallica fans that think Metallica songs like "The Four Horseman" and "Seek and Destroy" are thrash metal. At best those first 3 albums are speed metal. Without a good drummer, you can't have a "thrash band". While a lot of what I said is based on my opinions, the part about needing a good drummer to have a thrash band is a FACT...and Lars sucks. Sorry Metallica fans....If you wanna hear THRASH, keep listening to Kreator as you won't find any REAL thrash on ANY Metallica album.

Maybe my comment might be a little bit subjective, but I clearly prefer those three bands over Megadeth, though I may have exaggerated in my comment, Megadeth isn't just a part of the big 4 for nothing...
